The Challenge
Out of the box, Android devices are essentially unsecured entry points into a company’s
network. They come pre-loaded with risky features such as open browsers, active
Bluetooth and NFC, and the potential to install unapproved apps. All of these create
vulnerabilities in busy operational environments.
For Timewise, the stakes were high. Their customers rely on thousands of Android
devices to run mission-critical operations in distribution centres, warehouses and retail
backrooms. Any security lapse or downtime could bring those operations to a halt and
compromise sensitive business data.
The Response
Timewise uses SOTI MobiControl to lock down and manage every Android device it
deploys. From initial boot-up through to ongoing updates and support, each device is
fully configured and controlled.
